Oneonta Congregational Church Rhythm Choir history scrapbook, 1949 - 1961.

The scrapbook was compiled and titled by Alice J. Powell, a choir member. Photographs are found in several sections. The scrapbook sections are: introductory letter and essay on founding the choir; background philosophy and thoughts; programs presented; workshop classes attended, including training workshops with Ruth St. Denis; collected articles and material for study; hymns, prayers, and Bible passages with choreography notes; letters of appreciation; pamphlet, "As We Pray Together: A Devotional Interpretation of the Lord's Prayer" by Helen L. Gray, 1952, illustrated by photographs of the choir; pamphlet, "Favorite Songs Pantomimed and Posed", by Grace B. Faxon, 1917, posed with photographs of Susie Stallings); photographs depicting hymn "O Zion, Haste, Thy Mission High Fulfilling", Pacific Palisades, California Summer Conference, 1924. (Note: Powell's handwritten notes refer to the group as the "Oneonta Rhythm Choir," but the choir's letterhead uses "Rhythmic.")
